I looked through your page, and I had some comments and questions.
I love the subject idea first, and I think you offer some great observations in your first article. Miami art is incredibly interesting. I was thinking you could have something in the “about” tab of your website. Perhaps that first blog post you made could be under the about section because it explains your purpose. Also, in your “about” section, I got the feeling you were going to talk specifically about the art walk nights in the Wynwood district, but the article is more about South Florida art as a whole.
The article brought out interesting points like the idea of a “community” and the diversity of the artists within the museum. I also didn’t know it was the only free museum in Miami. Are there other schools that have similar museums?
I was thinking I’d like to see the pictures of the lighting situation you were talking about in your article. Then, at the end of the article kind of felt like it could have been in the beginning. You begin talking about the building, which is interesting, but I don’t feel like it was your main point. The whole community aspect and uniqueness of South Florida aspect seemed like it was more your point. Maybe?
Anyways, I love the idea. The Miami art scene is incredibly interesting for so many reasons. I’m very interested to see what kind of things you cover in the future. The performers you mentioned specifically sound interesting. Are you an artist yourself?
